Our story
Cryo-Cell, established in 1989, is a world leader in cord blood banking services. ExtraVault was started to meet the storage needs of biopharma companies in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), nationally and worldwide. ExtraVault will have a 56,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art, brand new facility in the Research Triangle and another 17,000 facility in the Tampa, FL area built to provide the highest quality storage facilities available.

Our history
Our parent company, Cryo-Cell International, was founded in 1989, Cryo-Cell International was the world's first private cord blood bank to separate and store stem cells. Today, the company has more than 500,000 clients from 87 countries and stores hundreds of thousands of clinical samples.
Our Team
David Portnoy
Chairman and CEO
Mr. Portnoy has served as Chairman of the Board and Co-Chief Executive Officer of
the Company since August 2011. Since 2002, Mr. Portnoy has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Partner Community, Inc., which provides B2B integrations between telecommunication service providers, such as Verizon Communications Inc., and their largest enterprise customers. Mr. Portnoy graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1984 from The Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania
